I picked this boy because others never choose him. I wanted to make him feel good. He thanked me for choosing him. He began to be nice to me. It made me feel good too.

So on my last birthday my mom and dad gave me a shiny chrome bike. It was the coolest thing I've ever seen. I could do all kinds of tricks, and I was so much faster than everyone else. But then, my friend Evan got a red bike. It was fast too. Then everyone got a red bike. Mine just wasn't good enough anymore. I had an idea, but my parents said I shouldn't do it. I decided to do it anyway. This was the best idea I've ever had. My friends were going to be so jealous when they saw my bike. But, when I started painting the bike, the red paint started dripping off the chrome. It was the worst thing that could have happened. I thought it was ruined forever. I went to my parents to ask for their help. I thought they would be so mad, but they weren't. My dad told me that people make mistakes and there's always a way to fix them. He gave me a bunch of tools and he said it would be a lot of hard work, but that we could make my bike shiny again. It took a long time. I could see my friends outside and I wanted to go play with them, but I knew I needed to keep working on my bike. I never thought it would work; but finally, the red paint started coming off! I could see how great it was going to be. Soon, my bike was just about perfect. My dad helped me so much. Race you to the park! Increase Your Daily Energy to Act, Love, and Lift Like the Savior Just like our smartphone, we start out each day charged and ready to go. However, as we begin to complete tasks on our day’s to-do list, it begins to drain from our energy stores until eventually, we’re left with little to no energy. Just like plugging in your phone, we periodically need to add energy to extend our battery’s life. But how do we do it?

The way to ensure that we have energy when we need it is to take small moments of recharge throughout the day. The Savior experienced fatigue while He served and helped others. He too took moments for Himself to rest, meditate, and pray. Be sure to stop and take time to breathe and reconnect throughout your day. As you feel that renewal, you will have the needed energy and strength to act, love, and lift as He would.
